Ten Shiverers swimmers qualify for the 2011 ASA South East regional age group championships (see entries). Shiverers top the Sussex club entry list along with Atlantis.

Hatfield UK Challenge open 14/15th May. It was unusual to have just four Shiverers swimmers taking part in this excellent open meet. Well done to Amy Quach, George Smith, Harry Burnell and Henry Young for making the 100 mile journey to north London. From the outset it was clear that a gigantic effort was going to be required just to stay within a few seconds of the leading age group swimmers.

Shiverers didn't come away with any golds on this occassion. George Smith(12 yrs) got some reward for a gutsy swim in the 400m free with a PB. Henry Young got PB's in the 200m free, 100m and 200m fly but decided to miss the final session on Sunday due to the pressure of exam revision (he surely would have got more PB).

"H" in reflective mood	Harry Burnell started with a blip in the 200m breaststroke (adding 9s) and a DQ in the 100m fly. However perseverance and self belief came through in the final sessions with PB's in the 50m free, 100m free and a 3s PB in the 200m backstroke (a SE regional qualy time as well).
For the parents who travelled. Was the fuel cost, hotel/restuarant bills, time away from loved ones worth it? - YES
