
Shiverers Land Training
This week (30th Sep 2011) we will starting a new Shiverers land training group which will be specifically geared to improve each swimmers fitness, flexibility, agility and core strength. Each session will be led by Josh Mcdonald who is a qualified personal trainer. The sessions are FREE and are available to all members. We are offering this training to the first 20 names received by me. So don’t delay, email me or speak to me ideally by Wednesday this week to book your place. I will send an email confirmation to say that you are booked onto the training session.
The sessions will be held at King Alfred in the small sports hall between 6 – 7 pm starting this Friday 30th September. We have not used the Friday night at King Alfred before so this session will run initially until Friday 9 December. If members support this session each week, it can be extended into 2012 and beyond.
It is important as with any sport to try to make a regular weekly commitment. For those swimmers with a swim session at 7pm they will be allowed to finish in time to start their swimming session in the water at the correct time.
The only equipment which Josh asks you to bring is a small exercise mat. These mats can be purchased very cheaply at any large supermarket store or sports retailer.
