Swimmers are separated within the club by standard, irrespective of age. We have two learner groups and two improver groups which we call badges. 1 star, 2 stars, 3, 4 and 5 stars then follow this. Progress to the next group for the learners is by a regular
review process undertaken by the teachers, and progression to the next
group is at their discretion. For badges upwards monthly testing takes
place on the last Friday of each month, during a swimmer’s normal
session. The club has found this group system works well, with swimmers
of a similar standard keeping together and not becoming disillusioned
by being in a group of vastly different standards. |
